A couple weeks ago, Trevor (Steve's brother) took us out on his boat. We were all excited to get to ride the tube, but the pump went dead before it was all the way full. Good job Trevor. Really, we didn't mind, the kids just liked being in the water.
Something happened to Tessa last time she went out on a boat and scared her on this one. She was crying and didn't want to go fast or even the mention of riding on the tube, she would cry. The hard thing for Steve with Tessa throwing a big fit was the next weekend he was taking Tessa and Kaylie to Lake Powell and he didn't want her to be like this there. Luckily she did a lot better after we got in the water.
Tessa and Kaylie were the first to jump in, then I went, followed by Millie. I thought she would cry because the water was pretty cold at first. She was a trooper and didn't cry. Steve and Jackson were to come next, but Jackson got scared, so I told Steve just to throw him in, he would get over it. Steve hesitated, but finally jumped in with him. Jackson did cry for a few moments, but then Got Over It!!! Man, I am a smart mom!
Even though the tube wasn't all the way filled up, Kaylie still got on it and rode it while we went slow. Then Jackson wanted to get on it and loved it. Thanks Trevor for taking us out!!! Trevor, the boat man!!!
