New Harmony + apples = apple pie filling

Today the little ones and I went up to New Harmony to help my mom do lots of apple pie filling. Their neighbor was kind enough to let them have some apples, but they had to pick the WHOLE tree. My dad picked two, so they have a lot. My mom has Monday's off, so I went o help her. We also got to see the cute adorable puppies.

Ginger had 11 puppies, but only 7 survived... There are 1 male and 6 female!!!

First off we had to go in the rain to the shed to get the apples...

then we peels, sliced and cored the apples with the handy dandy APPLE CORE SLICER PEELER... I recommend this for anyone who wants to do apples. It saves A LOT of time...

Wa La... 18 apples for a batch of 6 quarts...
