Hurricane 13th ward Relief Society Birthday party!!!

This last Wed. we had our Relief Society birthday party. It went sooo good. I had so many compliments on how fun it was. My committee decided to throw a real birthday party. They were all very talented and made my job easy. Just in case some of you don't know, but I am the Enrichment counselor for my ward. I have an awesome leader and committee. We decided to have people set at a table with the other ladies in the ward with their same birth month. That way they would get to know different people. Since it is a new ward we played a couple of getting to know you games. For dinner we had taco salad with ALL the fixings you could think of. We had taco shells with either ground beef or shredded chicken, there was salad, cheese, tomatoes, olives, pico de gallo, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, ranch dressing, and home made Cafe Rio dressing. To drink we had strawberry lemon aid with real strawberries and a mango sprite drink. For dessert we served a birthday cake. For our center pieces we had 12 ladies decorate a cake with the color of the birthstone (I made Jan.) Then we had a cake walk for the people to win the cakes. We also had goodie bags for every one (I made those). All around it was great fun! I am glad I have great people to work with.

The party rocked. I had way too much fun "getting to know" Erin and Kay. Sweet that you know me well enough that I'm more likely to get shot at than to craft, sew and scrapbook.
